Babouch Description:
Moroccan restaurants in Los Angeles often have similar concepts---fantasy settings, exotically-costumed waiters, multi-course meals meant to be eaten by hand while sitting on low cushions, and occasional interruptions by belly dancers who troll for tips. Babouch separates itself from the pack by serving better food, and distinguishes itself even further by offering a complimentary tarot card reading with dinner. We can't vouch for the accuracy of the latter, but we highly recommend the rabbit with garlic and paprika and lamb with honey and roasted almonds. Moroccan wine is offered, but only recommended as a novelty---the California wine is far better.
