Sapori Description:
We find this Marina restaurant a welcoming spot, from its cozy, comfortable dining room to the tables topped with linens and flowers to the accommodating staff. Starters we've enjoyed include a good beef carpaccio drizzled with a balsamic reduction, tegamino (melted provolone topped with prosciutto) and a Caprese salad that they attractively layer and bill as a napoleon. Pastas such as agnolotti stuffed with cheese and wild mushrooms in truffle-butter-sage sauce and gnocchi alla Sorrentina are satisfying. The main courses---including rack of lamb in port-rosemary sauce and beef tenderloin with portobello mushrooms, Chianti sauce and a topping of Gorgonzola---eclipse the standard L.A. trattoria fare.
