IW Club Description:
The IW Club began as a late-breakfast and lunch place for golfers, then segued with grace into a fine dining restaurant that could satisfy the needs of the well-heeled Indian Wells clientele. Views of the golf courses and mountains are striking. The menu skews heavily towards comfort food but on a very high level. Simple but good is the chef's watchword and he delivers. He also adds some sophisticated spins to quality ingredients: the coastal oysters are served with shaved ginger and saké granita that adds another layer of flavor without browbeating the gentle crustacean. The braised beef short rib made with Wagyu beef is rich in fat, the chicken potpie has such a light and flaky crust it makes the homely, nostalgic dish all too ephemeral. The bar serves some tasty small plates and is open until 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
