Clubhouse Restaurant Description:
Carmel Valley Ranch's remodel includes a ground-up multi-million dollar restoration of its Pete Dye golf course, a hotel turned hotel-condominiums, and the revamp of its restaurants. The casual Clubhouse comes with contemporary décor, dressed all in white, a bit Miami Vice-like, and attempts to marry the "Modern Luxury" brand. The bar shakes current cocktails; Scotch yields to pineapple mojitos and pomegranate martinis worthy of flashier urban centers. You can get a cheeseburger here, but choose to forgo the fries for risotto with pecorino and mushrooms. And when the guys get together to go over the scorecard, they'll do so over carrot and black truffle soup and perhaps the petite cut filet mignon. Up your $2 Nassau wager before teeing off; you'll need the extra cash when the bill arrives.
