If you're looking for the kind of crusty, real baguette you remember from France, Hush-Harbor has it. Owner Donnie Monroe and his staff take pride in baking authentic artisan breads from carefully nurtured starters, and the selection includes not only baguettes but also multigrain loaves, ciabattas, rustic Italian and several rotating recipes. Pastries include plain and filled croissants, scones and cookies. For lunch, it's hard to pass up the sandwiches on freshly baked bread, particularly the French dip or the flavorful veggie delight with marinated artichoke hearts and pesto, but generous salads like the sweet-savory raspberry chipotle chicken certainly don't disappoint. The thick quiches are also a good bet. For Saturday breakfast, opt for eggs Benedict on a croissant or the french toast made with freshly baked challah bread and served with scrambled eggs and sausage. Hush-Harbor is open for dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings until 8 p.m.
