Bodega Wine Bar Description:
Tucked into the Paseo Colorado shopping center, this cozy wine bar offers a long wood bar, some tables spilling out onto a pedestrian plaza and two sexy semi-private rooms splashed in red paint and illuminated by red candles. It's a good place to sample reasonably priced wines from around the world---offered by the glass, carafe or bottle---along with a selection of cheeses, salads, sandwiches on pressed focaccia, and desserts. The concept has evolved since its inception, as the quality of the stemware has increased and the food has gone from a mere afterthought to an integral part of the experience. There are pizzas, bruschetta, a PLT panino (the "P" for portobello), and a nifty grilled cheese with Brie and sliced apples on grilled fig challah bread.
