Robin's Woodfire BBQ Description:
Robin's has been smoking real "Q" since 1982. Located next to the Pacific Hastings Movie Theater on North Rosemead Blvd. They specialize in real wood smoked barbecue -- tender, fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs, spicy hot links, Friday beer-battered fish fries, and Garbage Can BBQ Combos.
Pasadena mainstay Robin's offers an extensive menu of casual American fare, including a juicy Gorgonzola cheeseburger, rotisserie chicken and fish fry. But the local regulars, of which there are many, come here almost exclusively for barbecue smoked over aromatic oak logs and mesquite coals. The baby-back ribs---with meat that literally falls off the bone and offered with a choice of four sauces---have become local legend. Good sides include blue cheese and pecan coleslaw, onion rings and baked beans. Sinfully tempting (and often gargantuan) desserts round out the picture. Casual, boisterous and filled top to bottom with vintage beer signs, the place feels like it should be next to a college campus, but is the quintessential family joint.
