Hutch's Barbeque Description:
The small cottage housing Hutch's seems overshadowed by the tall buildings popping up around it, but it's still going strong. The atmosphere in this renovated house is cozy -- there's a lot of exposed wood, and the floor is covered with bits of hay. They specialize in barbecue chicken, ribs, pork, and ham. Few vegetarian options.
This old clapboard house in the shadow of Pasadena City Hall has been turning out barbecue since 1948. Saw dust-covered floors, lace curtains and Norman Rockwell-esque art gives the place a homey flavor. And while it would be misleading to suggest that Hutch’s has perfected its craft over the last half-century, this is nonetheless a convenient place to grab a quick tri-tip sandwich or some ribs. The current chef happens to be Jamaican, and the jerk chicken is one of the better menu options.
