Cameron's Seafood Description:
San Francisco-style fish restaurant. Mesquite-grilled fish daily, salads, steak, and most of all, a kids' menu.
We haven't always been crazy about this old-fashioned, family-oriented fish house and oyster bar, open since 1984, but we can't deny its value and vast selection. The cavernous 300-seat eatery features maritime décor and mesquite grills. Start with Blue Point oysters, either on the half shall or baked with spinach and Romano cheese. Crab cakes are made from Maryland blue or Dungeness crabs; fish tacos are sautéed in garlic butter; and fettuccine is crowned with fresh Mexican shrimp and Canadian scallops. Heartier options include baked Alaskan halibut in white wine-pesto sauce, panko-crusted Oregon sand dabs and combination plates partnering seafood with New York steak. Top sides include potatoes au gratin and crisp coleslaw. Most items are fresh and the prices are significantly lower than at more prominent seafood restaurants. An adjacent fish market offers a large selection of seafood for home cooking.
