Prime Cut Cafe & Wine Bar Description:
A casual yet sophisticated interior pairs wood floors and dark wood furniture with striped silk-like brocade on banquettes and modern lighting. The menu seems rather simple until the food arrives, then it's evident that each dish has European flair and is made with topnotch ingredients. Start with the cheese fondue, creamy and salty, with its head of roasted garlic that gets squeezed into the fondue pot. The lunch menu is filled with gourmet burgers, sandwiches and unusual entrée salads such as the sirloin steak salad that comes with a delightfully warm potato salad, fresh wild greens and a robust balsamic vinaigrette. Dinner is a bit more formal (and more expensive) with a slow-roasted prime rib and juicy steaks, as well as herb-roasted chicken, braised short ribs and a daily seafood selection. The wine program is innovative with several wine flights and well-chosen international vintages available by the taste, glass or bottle.
