A late-night steakhouse in Orange County? It's hard to believe, but Stubrick's is the real open-late deal. This restaurant has a loyal fan base comprised of night owls, college students and meat lovers. From T-bones to the 24-ounce porterhouse, the chef knows his way around red meat. Order your steak simply seasoned or with a choice of sauces. Start your meal with a few slices of the cheese bread and a crisp, chilled salad. You'll also find some rather good pastas, seafood, Cajun-style chicken, meatloaf and pork tenderloin. Fancy it's not---in fact, you'll most likely dine to the sounds of pool players and smoky blues bands---but it'll fill you up. One thing to note: The owners don't follow the usual "customer is always right" protocol and their staff follows suit, so don't expect ingratiating service.
