Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar Description:
Scott's is one of the few places in Folsom to find a high-end meal without pretension. The understated design of neutral earth tones and dark wood is brightened by local art, including nautical-themed metalwork. While meats and pastas are on the menu, the focus, naturally, is on seafood. The Italian-seasoned crab bisque has a peppery kick, while succulent crab cakes, served with a spicy rémoulade, are topped with flavorful fried leeks. Many of the entrées take on flavors from across the globe, including the fiery jerk mahi mahi with plantain sauce, the sweet coconut prawns a soothing accompaniment. The grilled sea scallops are crispy-brown on the outside and moist inside, served alongside a well-balanced risotto with sweet butternut squash, tangy oyster mushrooms and salty pancetta. Desserts include the usual suspects, but a sampler platter allows for five tastes of each.
