D.J.'s Bistro Description:
Restaurants like DJ's bring to mind the concept of an oasis. Located in a strip mall near two busy boulevards in Concord, DJ's is not a chain, not ersatz Italian or Mexican. Instead it's a down-home German-Czech restaurant where you can get a fairly priced, delicious meal. Anything fried, like the chicken or veal cutlets, are perfectly executed. Light sauces nap the meats, while the accompanying red cabbage is tangy. Our other favorites here are the goulash or the roast pork. If you get soup or salad and opt for the soup, be forewarned that the goulash soup is very filling.
