Papa Jake's Description:
The huge jars of pickled peppers come from Jersey, as does the mix for the bread that's baked here every 15 minutes. This little joint, with a few stools and a counter, is the best place on the Westside to eat authentic Philly-style cheesesteaks, chicken cheesesteaks and "hotties" filled with peppers and eggs, eggplant Parmigiana or meatballs. The six- and twelve-inch subs are made to-order and can be topped with sautéed onions, hot or sweet peppers and mushrooms. If you can't find a sandwich on the menu that appeals to you, design your own. Pair a sub with french fries: regular, spicy, garlic or cheese.
