Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Description:
You don't have to go into the theme park to enjoy a meal at this OC landmark. The place sits just outside Knott's Berry Farm by the main entrance. The chicken, biscuits, boysenberry pie and old-time sides such as rhubarb and corn are comfort food of the highest order. However, don't think the fried chicken is going to be anything like your grandmother's crispy breast and wings as the meals are quite bland and taste somewhat like cafeteria food. The history of the place is the real draw here as the restaurant and its long wait in line led the Knott family to build the theme park around it---basically to give folks something to do (and somewhere else to spend their money) while waiting for that chicken and pie. Breakfast may be the restaurant's best meal of the day and is a good kick-off for park-goers who want to get an early start with a full belly.
