Anna's Taqueria Description:
Inexpensive burritos, tacos, and other varieties of Mexican-American food, with counter service. The decor is simple, but clean.
There is another location on Harvard St. in Brookline, and there are Cambridge and Somerville locations as well.
Boston's young, poor and famished frequent this string of cheerful storefront taquerias, and no wonder: all of five minutes and five bucks gets them football-size burritos, several baseball-size tacos or a combination thereof. Granted, it's typical New England Tex-Mex fare of the if-it's-overstuffed-it-must-be-good variety. Sometimes the assumption holds water; other times, hasty assemblage makes for a soggy mess of a meal. Still, sheer convenience keeps Anna's on the radar. Other locations.
