chicken strips there are awful so dry/hard / the nachos+cheese were soggy. burger overcooked!., it wasnt horrible but there is defintly better places to eat!. and the Serive is HORRIBLE. and it takes Forever to Get your food!

We ate at Charlie Don't Surf today & it took over an hour to get our food. Each time we asked the waitress she said it would be there in a few minutes. The 4 cheese pate is ridiculous. A pate consists of meat no cheese & mango
sauce heated like a fondue. Nasty!
Fortunately the people with me had more edible food.Thank heavens for the wonderful view!

I love the view. the service is sometimes questionable. the food is better than some place. I am disappointed that they don't take reservations the day of. The tables sometimes are sticky but we put up with it because you can't beat the view.

You should be ashamed of yourself!! My mom has been a waitress there for over 20 years and it is wonderful! The taste is great, the service is great and maybe your so that nodody wants to talk to you!!!

This is one bad spot in White Rock. Charlie Don't Surf, Charlie don't make good food, Charlie don't clean the tables or wait on their patrons. Charlie make me very angry indeed!
Surprisingly we got a table right away (sarcasm) and sat down to a sticky topped table that we couldn't get anyone to wipe down! It took about an hour to get our food, which when ordering a couple of burgers you would figure maybe 20 minutes tops? Anyway, once we got our burgers, they were lukewarm and obviously they were sitting on the counter waiting for someone to decide it was time for her customers to eat.
The burgers we ordered were overcooked, dry and tasteless.
Why does Charlie continue to stay open? My friend and I aren't sure, but this could be just another enigma that makes White Rock so alluring.
I think Charlie had better take up surfing because he's going to have a lot more time on this hands pretty soon.
