earlier I called to see the hours of operation since this is going to be my first time, only to find out that they're not open, and it's 2:40pm. The lady told me the restaurant opens at 5:00pm, I somehow found that strange because they should be open from 9:00am to 9:00pm Anyways I can't wait to try the Pad Thai

Chada Thai definitely serves the best Pad Thai in BC! Pad Thai has always been my favorite dish, and I've tried it at many Thai places, but no place comes close to the flavor and authenticity that's served at Chada Thai. The pricing is a bit expensive (although they serve good food!), considering they have the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant...The service is so bad, you might as well go in expecting better service from McDonald's.

I found Chada Thai to have a cold and unfriendly ambience and the service was horrible to say the very least. I have eaten at at least 25 other Thai restaurants all over the lower mainland with Chada Thai easily being at the bottom of the barrell. It's completely overpriced and the food lacks that true Thai zing in flavour. The food is spicy yes, but that's all...no other flavours truly come to the forefront....they're muted. I went once and it was more than enough. The portions were sadly lacking but were double the price of any other leading Thai restaurant. I won't ever go there again. There are so many wonderful Thai restaurants in Vancouver that are far more worth mentioning but don't usually get the recognition they deserve because the interior's are usually run down, undecorated, and simple. I'd rather pay for good food than a bunch of pretty Thai decorations. Be prepared to spend $50 for two persons (without drinks & only 2 dishes)and have to go somewhere else afterwards to get another bite to be satified hunger wise. I'd give it a 0 out of 5.

Hello all,
I found all the dishes full of flavour. My favourite would have to be the Pad Thai! It wasn't too spicy, and very filling. Had left overs for work the next day!
Overall I'm happy and will return to this fine thai restaurant.

I've eaten at plenty of Thai restaurants around BC, but I have to say that Chada takes the cake when it comes to authenticity and food quality. And the fact that the chef comes out to see you at your table and fill you in on the ingredients that went into your Pad Thai is a really nice touch.
The restaurant is pretty small with only about 9 or 10 tables so you're really better off making a reservation or going early, especially on the weekends. The location is a little unusual as well; the restaurant sits tucked away next to a Save on Foods and can easily be missed if you're not looking specifically for Chada Thai Fine Cuisine! But because of the grocery store, you're sure to find parking.
The service is not that bad either considering its stature of a small, single-server restaurant where the chef / owner helps out as best he can.
Pricing is a little higher than other Thai restaurants, but the flavor and quality of the food more than makes up for this. This is Thai fine dining and you won't come away feeling like you wasted your money! I will definitely be going back.
