Review :
Like most sushi places that I've been to around Vancouver, Asakusa Sushi is small and cramped - but that's pretty much what you should expect. Most people that come into the place are coming to pick up their orders and eat the sushi at home. The sushi chefs are always really friendly and they always greet me when I walk in the door, but it's not special attention, they do it to pretty much everyone unless you're wielding a weapon, then they most likely won't. The sushi is HUGE! I've seen some big sushi but these guys practically put the whole fish on a massive chunk of rice, and they all taste great. The sashimi is always super fresh and the prices are quite cheap considering the amount of fish you get in or on each piece.
