Review :
it was a pleasure to have the oppurtunity to dine at fishtales. We sat outside in the garden which was beautiful, when the sun went down the waitresses brought out blankets and candles. The food was also amazing. I ordered the summer special. I started off with half an avacoado filled with shrimp, then my second couse was prawns and scallops, rice, and vegatbles. Followed by chocolate mousse. My guests were also pleased with their meals, and the overall ambiance of the restraunt.

Review :
Outside gardens and aproaches are great - it goes down from there. The decor is a mix of ann hathaway and sweden. We orderded French onion soup which was served in a bowl straight from the grill. When eventually the contents cooled enough to taste they were a virtually tasteless broth with uncooked shredded onion in a mass at the bottom. The topping of grilled cheese on bread was like eating hot plastic. My wife's clam chowder was a disgusting orange coloured mix of over-cooked and mashed root vegatables with two or three unidentifiable shell fish.
The fish and chips' appearance was good and the batter was excellent however the fish was over cooked and tough. Plate (cold) arrived swimming in an evil tasting liquid which had leaked from the colslaw which was inedible The liquid made the batter and chips soggy and unappetizing. The seafood cannelloni was more grilled plastic cheese covering a plate of pasta, (not canelloni tubes) and thick tasteless sauce in which a few shrimp were finally found.
The service was excellent.

Average food, enjoyed the actual building, I think it used to be a great little place but not so much now, we did not feel it was good value for money.
