Since 1977, Seattleites in the mood for generous portions of basic Mexican fare have stopped at one of the Jalisco restaurants. The chicken mole is one of the more sophisticated dishes on the menu, which also features reliable burritos, enchiladas and tostadas. The $3.50 house margaritas won't win any prizes but they do the trick. With its adobe-colored walls adorned with pretty tiles and a few flashy sombreros, Jalisco has the casual laid-back charm of a Mexican border-town café.
