Wonder Bar Description:
This modern, brick-walled Allston Village bar has lost some of its luster. The earnest jazz combos that played nightly in the space rarely had an appreciative crowd, which was rather loud, student-dominated and there to party. Now that DJs rule the joint, the appeal for foodie sophisticates is limited. The bar menu isn't bad, juxtaposing achiote chicken skewers and spinach and artichoke dip with quesadillas and a barbecued pulled pork pizza, but it isn't memorable either, with one exception: it offers one heck of a warm chocolate chip cookie platter.
