Rod Dee Description:
The original Rod Dee in Brookline does a bang-up Thai take-out business. The Fenway spin-off, with its bright colors and scattered tables, radiates a sort of kindergarten cheer. The crowds are substantial, but service is quick, and basics---green curry, coconut soup, fried rice with crispy chicken, beef stir-fried with hot basil and chilies---are cheap. But the daily specials are the real find here. They're listed on a printed card at the register and include rarities one normally sees in Bangkok alleyways. Take a chance on one---it's bound to pay off.
