Linwood Grill Description:
With its low-key perch on a quiet Fenway corner, its own parking lot and a hospitable if somewhat ragtag staff, the Linwood has a small-town feel. The menu sticks mostly to its barbecue roots---for better or worse, since the 'cue overall lacks the hallmarks of serious pit-mastery---but also pulls off some neat Southern stunts like fried pickles, fried catfish and cheesy grits. Stews like chili and gumbo are the real thing. A local live-music lineup completes the rootsy picture.
