Bukhara Description:
Bukhara looks like a cross between the narrow curry shops of London and a Pottery Barn showroom. Hand-woven rugs are strewn about, and the lighting is dim; copper baltis and rustic plate-ware glimmer. Walls are exposed brick. The food, too, falls somewhere between authentic and Americanized. Of course, you'll get your samosas, your tikka masala, your saag, but Southern Indian dosai and pav bhaji are also on the menu. The kitchen (and service staff) acquits itself more admirably when the place isn't packed, notably less so when it is; that goes double for the lunch buffet.
