Boston Beer Works Description:
Popular brewpub across the street from Fenway Park. The menu contains a wide-ranging mix of modern bar foods. The decor is "industrial brewpub," with exposed sheet metal and sacks of hops. The location ensures that it gets very crowded when the Red Sox are in town.
The restaurant is located within walking distance of the MBTA Green Line stops at Kenmore (B, C, D branches), Blandford Street (B) and Fenway (D). It is also near several MBTA bus routes, including numbers 8, 9, 60, and 65.
Parked a baseball's throw from Fenway Park, this boisterous brewpub is a party even when there's no home game. The glassed-in, on-site brewery flashes its gigantic copper tanks; the industrial-chic dining area flaunts its TVs and memorabilia; and amid it all students, tourists and sports fans of all stripes choose from numerous house brews on tap, including Bunker Hill Bluebeery Ale and Pumpkinhead Ale. The encyclopedic menu combines the banal (burgers, wings) with the modern (mako shark skewers) with equally mixed, but generally adequate, results; big-bowl salads, for instance, are surprisingly creative and flavorful.
