Nikis West Description:
Locals looking for the best meat-and-three in town often head towards the Finley Avenue Farmer's Market, but stop a little short at Niki's West. As if the cafeteria steam table, offering more than 40 fresh vegetables and homemade salads alongside an array of meats wasn't enough, there are separate breakfast, seafood and steak menus. Most just head for the briskly moving line to choose meatloaf, Greek chicken or country-fried steak with seemingly limitless sides. Offerings have also included blackened amberjack worthy of a white tablecloth establishment. Okra, mac 'n' cheese or any of the greens are good bets, but it's hard to miss with any of the fresh vegetables. Also considered sides are sweet offerings such as banana pudding, fruit cobblers and chocolate pudding cake. And if that doesn't tempt you, the coconut pie just down the line will.
