What makes this place such a delightful anachronism in Bethesda's upscale dining row is its workmanlike ambience: loads of patrons cluster here, grabbing one of the five or six seats, or hang around out front munching on chicken and shooting the breeze. The chicken is hot, delicious, inexpensive, and ready in a hurry. Add to this an order of crispy yuca and the very dense bread pudding, and you've got yourself a budget feast.
