Although the International District is our first choice for authentic Asian food, Nobel Court is a good option if you're hanging out in the Eastside suburbs. The place is popular for dim sum, which is served daily, but has the best and most extensive selection on Sundays, when there's likely to be a wait. Dim sum favorites include a scallop snuggled with mushroom and pork in a crispy taro root nest, broccoli in oyster sauce, and daikon cakes flecked with shrimp and pork. Feel like something exotic? Try the chicken feet. Those who only come for dim sum miss the worthy Cantonese and Hong Kong dimensions of this restaurant. We recommend the garlic-and-chili-spiked baked prawns (served whole and meant to be eaten that way), plump Pacific oysters served Szechuan-style in a peppery sauce, and kung pao chicken. The soft, warm, coconut-sauced tofu dessert is also worth a try. Dining with a large group means you can sample more and get the benefit of a huge round table with a lazy Susan for mutual sharing.
