Le Jardin Gourmand Description:
The elegant décor in this manor house is punctuated by paintings, and the dining room opens out onto a garden. The service here is seasoned, and it's obvious a lot of thought has gone into the complex, original offerings on the menu. In fact, just about everything is aimed at refinement with an artistic bent, and that's very nice. However, we'd like to see the chef let down his guard, simplify the fare, and differentiate a bit more between flavors. These classic dishes won't let you down: green asparagus and sprouts salad with Toscane ham, roast scallops, pea and vegetable fricassée. Admirable cellar stocked with Chablis and other Yonne wines.
