Brisbane Cricket Ground - Gabba Description:

Parking:

Parking is available at the Mater Hill Hospital’s North and South carparks on the corner of Allen and Water Street, approx 800 metres from the Gabba. The price for all International and Interstate Twenty20 matches is $10, valid for 12 hours following entry. Patrons can pay at the service counter on level 4 of the Mater Hill North carpark (weekdays only) or at the manned ticket booth.

Restricted Parking and Road Closures:
On match days, parking restrictions and some road closures apply in the Gabba Traffic Area. On-street parking is restricted to 15 minutes only unless otherwise signed. On-the-spot fines will be issued to offending motorists and vehicles will be towed from designated TOW AWAY zones. The Stanley Street outbound lanes outside the stadium will be closed pre and post match (Brisbane Transport buses excepted). Vulture Street behind the stadium will be closed post event only. Public Transportation:

A Ticketmaster ticket provides free travel to and from all matches listed below on the Brisbane Transport bus network and the QR Citytrain network (bounded by Nambour, Shorncliffe, Ferny Grove, Cleveland, Robina and Rosewood). Note - CityCats and ferries are not included.

FREE CITYTRAIN SERVICES:
Gold Coast, Cleveland and Beenleigh line passengers should disembark at South Bank rail station and, at times shown below, board the free bus shuttle on Platform 2 at South Bank busway station.

Shorncliffe, Doomben, Caboolture, Ipswich, Nambour and Ferny Grove line passengers should disembark at Roma Street rail station (NOT Central Station) and, at times shown below, board the free bus shuttle from outside the station in Roma Street.



FREE CITY-GABBA-CITY BUS SHUTTLES:
Free high frequency shuttle buses will leave from directly outside Roma Street rail station at bus stop 125, picking up at Adelaide Street opposite City Hall (Stop Number 45), then all busway stations to the Gabba setting down in Stanley Street outside The Gabba Gates 1 & 2.
These services will operate as follows;

First 3 mobile Test match – days 1, 2 & 5 (Nov 20, 21, 24) 8.45am – 10.45am
First 3 mobile Test match – days 3 & 4 (Nov 22 – 23) 8.30am – 10.30am
KFC Twenty20 Big Bash Bulls v NSW Blues (Dec 26) 4.30pm – 6.30pm
KFC Twenty20 Big Bash Bulls v SA Redbacks (Jan 9) 4.30pm – 6.30pm

Free City shuttles at twenty (20) minute intervals will continue for the following matches as below:
First 3 mobile Test match – days 1, 2 & 5 – 10.45am – 11.45am
First 3 mobile Test match – days 3 & 4 – 10.30am – 11.30am
Commonwealth Bank ODI Australia v New Zealand – 1.15pm – 2.15pm
For one hour immediately after all matches, free bus shuttles will leave Stanley Street, between Wellington Road and Ipswich Road, (opposite Gate 2 and 9), returning to the city (including South Bank and Roma Street rail stations).

ADDITIONAL SUBURBAN BUS SHUTTLES:
Ticket holders will also be able to travel to and from the Gabba for free on high frequency Eight Mile Plains, Carindale and Chermside bus shuttles. These services will operate every 15 minutes at the following times:

Free return bus shuttles will operate for one hour immediately after the matches.

TRAVEL ROUTES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

Eight Mile Plains busway station, picking up at all stations, including Buranda, then to platform 1 Woolloongabba busway station. Return shuttles depart from platform 1 and travel via the same route.

Carindale Interchange zone "H", picking up at Carina (stop 35), Camp Hill (stop 30), Coorparoo (stop 23S), Coorparoo West (Mains Avenue), setting down at platform 1 Woolloongabba busway station. Return shuttles depart platform 2 and travel the same route.

Chermside Interchange zone "D", picking up at Kedron North (stop 31), Kedron (stop 23), Lutwyche (stop 20), Windsor Rail (stop 13), Royal Brisbane hospital (stop 9), Royal Children's Hospital - Herston Station, Kelvin Grove QUT Station, Normanby Station then express to Woolloongabba setting down at Main Street (stop 9) approaching Vulture Street. Return services depart from the same Main Street stop (stop 9) and travel the same route.

General Rules:

Management reserves the right to prohibit entry and evict persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who are disorderly or engage in inappropriate behaviour, vandalism or evade admission. Management has the right to refuse entry to patrons carrying prohibited items, or confiscate those items.

Any breach of the rules will be reported to Police.

By entering the Gabba you agree to:
- Retain your ticket at all times, and
- Follow any lawful staff instruction

WHAT CAN BE TAKEN INTO THE GROUND:
- Soft sided bags (six-pack size), open top fabric bags (such as green supermarket bags) or clear plastic bags
- The bags are to be no more than 40 cm high, 40 cm long and 40cm wide;
They are soft to the touch i.e. able to be squeezed in the hand
One zippered or latched opening to the bag that when opened on entry enables the contents of the bag to be viewed. (There can be a number of compartments within the bag) Additional zippered openings that have transparent mesh or plastic where the contents can be viewed will be permitted;Soft sided bags (six-pack size), open top fabric bags (such as green supermarket bags) or clear plastic bags
- Water and non-alcoholic beverages in plastic or cardboard packages which have not been previously opened.
- Food, but not in packaging that could be used as a projectile ie pizza box
- Tea or coffee thermos (which will be checked)
- Binoculars and personal cameras

WHAT CANNOT BE TAKEN INTO THE GROUND:
- Back-packs, camel-packs and hard eskies of any size are not permitted into the ground. Management suggests the use of soft sided bags (six-pack size), open top fabric bags (such as green supermarket bags) or clear plastic bags in order to abide by the conditions of entry;

- Deliveries and product from external caterers are not permitted;
- Folding Chairs;
- Alcohol – Fines apply to patrons caught trying to smuggle alcohol into the venue;
- Crockery, cans, opened bottles, glass containers, dangerous or illegal substances, flares, fireworks, laser pointers, loud hailers and musical instruments including horns and whistles;
- Flags and flagpoles displaying political or offensive messages;
- Potential weapons such as knives, chains, studded belts, etc;
- Any items which are regarded as offensive, or which can be used as a projectile or create litter (this includes pizza cartons, streamers, confetti and ticker-tape);
- Items, which in the opinion of Management, have the potential to cause injury or are a nuisance or inconvenience to any other person; and
- Oversized items will not be permitted into the venue, that is items which are unable to fit under your seat.
- The Gabba is a licensed venue. Alcoholic beverages must not be taken into or out of the Gabba. It is an offence for minors to purchase or consume alcohol or for persons to supply alcohol to minors. Alcohol may only be consumed in clearly marked areas of the venue. Fines apply to patrons who attempt to bring alcohol
into the venue.

Miscellaneous:

Bag searches will take place at the gates, so you will need to queue if you bring a bag. Cloaking will be available near the main entrance gates. Look out for express entry gates if you’re not carrying a bag. What bag can I bring into the ground?

Only light and mid-strength beer will be sold inside the stadium. Spirits will not be sold in the public areas. Only four (4) alcoholic drinks may be purchased at once.

Excessive consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated. Intoxicated persons will be refused entry. Please don’t drink excessively during the day - you may be asked to leave the ground.

Please respect other patrons sitting around you and be responsible for your own actions. Throwing of any projectiles or litter is strictly prohibited and behavior that disrupts the enjoyment of others won’t be tolerated. Mexican waves are not permitted in the venue. Please be patient and use commonsense throughout the day.

Ticket scalping is an offence (Penalties Apply).

RESTRICTIONS

The use of recording equipment such as cameras and audio and video recorders for professional purposes is not permitted in the venue without permission;

Cameras for personal use are permitted however the use of images taken in the venue for commercial purposes are prohibited;

Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person who does not comply with the conditions; and

Management reserves the right to conduct bag and body searches.

SAFETY

For your safety and security, random electronic surveillance is in use at this venue;

To ensure both patron and player safety unauthorised entry to the field of play is prohibited (Penalties Apply);

The throwing of any object in the venue (including on to the field of play) is prohibited and may result in the patron responsible being evicted (Penalties Apply).

CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

Offensive, discriminatory or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in offending patrons being evicted.

NO SMOKING

Under the Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998 (Qld) smoking is prohibited in all areas of the Gabba. Patrons who smoke within the Gabba commit an offence against the Act, to which fines apply; and may be immediately evicted from the venue.

OTHER

An adult must accompany children under the age of 12;
Umbrellas must not be raised during play; and
Soft sided cooler bags are permitted.

Ticket scalping is an offence under new Government legislation.

From Brisbane City or North: Vulture Street exit off South East Freeway, or take Main Street off the Story Bridge. From the South: Take the Stanley Street exit off South East Freeway and follow the signs to Vulture St. From the East: Follow Stanley st.
