Spider House Description:
Spider House Patio Bar & Café is the secret haunt of both young and old Austinites. Featuring lots of outdoor seating under the veranda or out on the tree-filled patio, this cool café becomes a feast of lights at night when the multi-colored Christmas strands illuminate the hodge-podge collection of sculptures and bathroom fixtures. Spider House is unsurprisingly a favorite among local vegetarians, who clamor for entrées like the black bean whole-wheat quesadilla with tomatoes and the grilled cheese "especial" with chipotle mayo, faux meat crumbles, onions and peppers. Frequent happy hours feature specials on pitchers of Lone Star, the national beer of Texas, as well as other well drinks.
