Who wouldn't be hungry after seeing aisle after aisle of eye-catching produce, meats and cheeses? Central Market brings their products from the shelves to the table in their wholesome, cozy café. Steaming cappuccinos, milky teas and fruit muffins are favorites for early birds, who take advantage of the uncluttered, capacious indoor dining room to blog and read the morning away. Lunching on the sprawling patio is lovely, especially when enjoying a New Orleans muffuletta with olive relish or the refreshing tofu soba salad with pickled ginger, wasabi peas and tofu-miso dressing. Margherita pizzas, rosemary chicken with Fontina and prosciutto, and salmon niçoise are among our favorite entrées.
