Thrive Description:
The high-energy see-and-be-seen scene is the backdrop for Oscar Pinto's (formerly at Sia's) eclectic cooking. Start with the ginger chicken-and-potato pot stickers, which are five well-defined morsels under a hint of soy vinaigrette. A sushi bar offers traditional rolls along with new creations. The best dish on the menu from an execution standpoint is the arugula salad with pickled julienne Georgia apples, goat cheese and mustard vinaigrette; a scattering of toasted sweet pecans is a nice counterpoint to the tangy cheese. A roast half chicken comes with mashed spuds and there's a flavorful ham-flecked mac 'n' cheese, though the sauce is very thin (ask for a spoon). Pasilla-accented creamed spinach seems to lack the promised pepper, but has a wonderful flavor nonetheless. The wine list is substantial, and has numerous fine choices, but mostly by the bottle. Few of the by-the-glass options seem inspired; best choices are the Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand---awesome with the pot stickers---and the Allegrini Palazzo della Torre is ideal with many of the main dishes. Glassware, some of it Spiegelau, is very good.

Review :
I went to Thrive for dinner with my husband last week. I consider myself a sushi expert and let me tell you - their sushi was so fresh and so delicious. Now there are only about 12 or so different rolls to choose from but the few I had were perfect. My husband had the Halibut and said it was cooked to perfection. Thrive is such a cool place - great music, great bar, easy to get to and park. I just noticed on Gayot that Thrive was voted in their Top 10 Sexy Restaurants - I can see that - it has a Euro Sexy style. The staff was so nice. We will be going back! I can't really think of anything bad about it so I should really give it 5 stars but I think I'm saving my 5 star review for the one that knocks my socks off in an extreme way.
