Padriac's Description:
Open since 1998, this neighborhood pub serves well-prepared food from a variety of culinary traditions. As in Ireland, it's not uncommon to find dishes ranging across cuisines. Southern tastes and the occasional Caribbean morsel make for a wide-ranging feast. Although the term rare doesn't seem to be in the chef's vocabulary where burgers are concerned, you do get a hefty two-hander for your trouble. Top it with blue cheese and it's a good deal. The crispy fried calamari comes intermingled with lovely, freshly crumbed fried okra and (look out!) similar-looking jalapeño peppers. Jambalaya over pasta instead of over rice is one of the most popular dishes. Dinner features platters to share and tapas-style dishes, as well as ample entrées. For late night, classic bar nibbles are the focus, such as Buffalo wings or chicken tacos with salsa. St. Patrick's Day turns up some traditional dishes, including that old Irish-American faithful corned beef and cabbage, plus bangers and mash and a few other familiar feastings. Think beer: There are some 40 to choose from on draught.
