Functioning on two levels, so it may meet sundry dining and relaxing purposes, Front Page News attracts young families and couples to the patio space, while sports-minded patrons gather in front of the second-level big screen to watch their favorite teams. Besides the sandwiches, wraps and burgers, FPN purveys full plate specials, including a buttermilk fried chicken and fish 'n' chips with an Abita beer batter. We like the crab cakes, a pair of which perch atop a nicely spiced rémoulade. The bread pudding, so-called, is among the oddest we've ever seen, with layers of bread slices bathed in syrup; nothing pudding-like about it.
