Langosta Lounge Description:
The owners call their food "Vacation Inspired Cuisine"---which means that the menu at this lively and artsy place is based on dishes they've enjoyed during their many travels. The menu offers such things as chilaquiles---tortillas layered in chorizo, shaved cheese, rojo sauce, lettuce and veggies---topped with a fried egg (or without if you prefer the vegetarian version); and a salad called Kane Garden comprised of a Caribbean pistou grilled chicken in a jerk marinade with candied macadamia nuts, grilled pineapple, onion and yellow peppers over baby arugula. There's also something called Mexican pho---a twist on the Vietnamese lunch staple that is sort of soup and sort of a meal in a broth but here served with a platter of greens, scallions, cilantro, chilies, salsa and the diner's choice of chicken, barbecue pork or vegetables. Drinks are as creative as the fare.
