Duane's Ono-Char Burger Description:
Duane's serves up big burgers with everything imaginable on them. A favorite: the teriyaki burger, a quarter-pounder with lettuce, tomato, mayo, homemade teriyaki sauce and whatever else you want. Add cheese, avocado or sprouts, and then see if you can get your mouth around it all. Fish and veggie burgers are also available, and the onion rings are a good side. As for seating, there are picnic tables under a Poinciana tree, if you don't mind wild chickens begging for handouts. This is no quick-stop; expect to wait 30 to 45 minutes for your meal at lunchtime. Parking can be challenging as Duane's shares a small, busy lot with the Whaler's convenience store and Anahola Post Office.
