5 Seasons Brewing North Description:
Drawing on the brewing talents of Crawford Moran, former owner of Atlanta-based Dogwood Brewing, 5 Seasons partners Dennis Lang and David Larkworthy took over a failed brewpub operation and immediately drew to its patronage 5 Seasons enthusiasts from the northern 'burbs. The core menu is the same as at the original location, with occasional differences. The greens soup with andouille sausage is first-rate, and is fine as a cold, rainy day warm-up. Scallops are a singularly good bet. The lamb teriyaki chops, the Kobe-style beef, the house-made bratwurst and sauerkraut, pizzas, sandwiches and topnotch calamari all are on this menu as well. And the company-baked bread, costing $1 for a basket, comes with sweet North Carolina butter blended with fleur de sel---well worth the tiny charge.
