Review :
My husband and I rode to Jasper on our motorcycle Sunday Aug.23/09. We were sore tired hungry and cold. We were staying close by so we walked over to Buckles. We walked in and sat on the saloon side. We were the only ones there. A few people in the restaurant side. The waitress came promply. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband a coffee. I asked the waitress what was good on the menu and she said everything. I ordered trout and my husband ordered the AAA New York State (finest cut according to menu) He ordered it rare. Well, our meals came farily promptly. Oh my!!! Not very appetizing looking at all! His steak was a sort of grey color my fish was very white, not browned. Baked potato. According to the menu it was supposed to be served with fresh seasonal vegetables. CORN NIBLETS OUT OF A CAN!!! Hubbies steak was extra extra well done. The waitress came over and asked how everything was. My husband complained about the steak being over done so she asked us if he wanted another one cooked right. He said no because of what you hear what cooks sometimes do to food that is sent back. my fish was fit to eat but very blah and remember we were very very hungry. After we ate most of it I went to the manager and complained that the food wasn't very good. All I really expected was for them to take his steak off the bill and we would pay for everything else. They freaked out on us, said we were the only peopl to every complain about their food and they kicked us out. We offered to pay for everything but the steak and they flipped out and escorted us out the door! So defensive. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER! We may have got a free meal out of them but I would have rather paid good money and got a decent meal! Not very good for a town like Jasper Alberta. Oh yes and I am being generouls about the one star.

Review :
We went to Buckles for our breakfast on Sunday May 18, 2008. We were quickly seated and given menus. It wasn't very busy, maybe 4 other tables full. We were served coffee and our order taken. Our food, which was very good was served quickly. I was very disappointed by the service with coffee. Our waitress passed our table by multiple times with a coffee pot in her hand and never ONCE offered to refill our coffees. We requested a refill once, at which point our server (if you can call her that) delegated a "coffee run" to the bus girl, who went and got the coffee pot and served the tablet beside us and then continued bussing another table. About 10 minutes later, and having had the server walk by at least 5 times again, we again requested a refill. She brought the coffee pot to the table, quickly refilled ONE cup and walked away again without even a glance at the second cup. We were also never asked if we were satisfied with our meals.
To say the least, this kind of service is appalling.

I noticed other tables being served by another server who
